PLA filament is a thermoplastic polymer made strictly from renewable resources. Poly Lactic Acid (PLA), is generated from biodegradable material like cornstarch, potato starch, sugarcane and tapioca roots, and has a smooth, shiny appearance. WHAT IS PETG?
PETG material is the particular version of this plastic used in 3D printing processes, where the G stands for “glycol-modified”. This is added during polymerisation to the composition of the material. 3D printing with PETG filament offers a result that gives the materials a clear appearance, which is less brittle and easier to use than the base form of PET. The molecular structure is also known to be irregular, while the resin is clear and amorphous with a glass transition temperature of 85 degrees Celsius.
